Ziro is a small town located in the Lower Subansiri district in the northeastern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, India.
By Air

Roads are usually fine but can be bumpy, and landslides are common in the rain, so be prepared.

Things to do around Ziro
Ziro Festival isn’t the only thing Arunachal has to offer. There are plenty of other things you can experience. Once you’re done with the music festival you can do the following things as per your leisure :
- Visit traditional villages like Hong Village to see old customs and traditions that are still in practice.
- Meet members of the Apatani tribe known for their distinctive tattoos and nose piercings. You could get a tattoo for yourself as a memorabilia!
- You could go for a short nature hike to Kilepakho Ridge for a scenic view of the plateau
- Visit the famous Pine Grove where you could have a picnic or take a nature walk
- Visit local markets in Hapoli to see local crafts, food etc.
- If you’re into bird watching, Ziro is an excellent place to do just that
- If you’re a non-vegetarian, definitely try the Apatani cuisine made from bamboo shoots and smoked meats
- You could visit local religious sites like the Shiva temples
- If you have time, you could visit other parts of Arunachal as well. They have so much to offer!
